Friday Faves Part 2

HAPPY FRIDAY! I love being able to say that! Weekends are the best. 🙂 We are excited to have a date night this evening, and to spend time with my sister and brother-in-law who will be coming in to town for a wedding!

Last week I started the Friday Faves tradition, where we can take a look back at our weeks and focus on the moments of blessings and joy. Here are a few of mine, and I’d love for you to share yours in the comments!

Our first look!
  1. Wedding Pictures by Kelcy Leigh Photography

We got our wedding pictures in!! It was so much fun looking through them and remembering our favorite day ever. It’s crazy what a blur it was, and I’m so thankful we have beautiful pictures to remember it by now! I plan to share some on Facebook along with a blog post in the coming weeks. 🙂

2.Monday Night Basketball

Brady joined a basketball league that started this week and I got to go watch him play! Crazily enough, this was my first time getting to watch him and I loved being the proud wife on the sidelines. 🙂 Plus, there was never a dull moment as I got to sit with my friends Jerrica and Nichole and their 4 little girls. Let’s just say that we had lipstick in many, many places…

3. Homemade Fish and Chips

While Brady and I were in Seattle a few weeks ago, we fell in love with fish and chips! I was pumped to find this healthier, baked version on Pinterest and we tried it out Tuesday night. It was a bit time consuming, but it was fun to prepare it together and it tasted AMAZING! We scarfed it down so fast that I couldn’t get a good picture of it. 😉 We will be making it again, and I plan to document it so I can share the recipe on here for you all!

4. A Series of Unfortunate Events on Netflix

Did anyone else read these books back in the day?! I LOVED them, and Netflix’s new series has made me so happy. 🙂 It’s definitely quirky, but I love the cinematography, acting, and nostalgia. If you were also a nerd who read these books, check this show out!

5. Crocheting a New Blanket

Michael’s has had a big sale on their yarn this week, so I thought it was no better time to stat a new blanket! I love almost anything crafty! When I found out about our new nephew Oliver, I wanted to make him something special and unique, so I touched up on my crochet knowledge and went to work on a blanket!

It is such a great way to keep your hands busy while watching movies or sports, and I love that you can create something so pretty with your own hands. The blanket I am working on now is pretty detailed, so I’m expecting it to take a few months at least. It’s a great way to test my patience and to remind myself that great things take time, and instant gratification isn’t always what we need. Hopefully I will have an updated pic of my progress for you all soon!

I hope you all have a great weekend! Take time to relax, be with the ones you love, and soak in God’s grace and goodness.

Today’s Question:

What’s one of your favorite things from the past week?
